WHAT TIME DO WE MEET?
Depending on the length of your charter, Kona Cowboys Sport Fishing offers both morning and afternoon start times.
Typically, our morning charters leave the dock at 6:30am and 10:30am, and our afternoon charters leave at 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your charter’s start time.
Of course, we’ll speak with you directly the day before your trip to coordinate meeting time, our location, and what your goals are for your fishing experience.

We understand that things happen!
So, in the event that you need to cancel your fishing charter with us, we only ask that you provide us with 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, and we will provide a full refund.

WHAT IF IT RAINS OR THERE’S BAD WEATHER?
We fish rain or shine, however, we want everyone to be safe.
In the event that your Captain chooses to call off your fishing charter due to poor weather or other conditions that might make your trip unsafe, we’ll do our best to reschedule your charter.
If, for travel or other reasons, you are unable to reschedule with us, we’ll provide a 100% refund for any amounts previously paid.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO TIP THE CAPTAIN?
Absolutely! Capt. Gaige and his crew work extremely hard to provide their guests with the best fishing experiences possible.
Customarily, gratuities for a Captain and crew are 20%+ of the cost of your charter.

DO WE NEED FISHING LICENSES?
Nope!
Kona Cowboy Sportfishing has all of the licenses and permits you’ll need for your fishing charter and they are included for your trip.

CAN WE BRING ALCOHOL ON A FISHING CHARTER?
Yes. We even supply an iced-down cooler to keep your drinks chilly!

WHAT KIND OF BOAT WILL WE BE GOING OUT IN?
You’ll be fishing with Captain Gaige Inscore and his crew from a 42′ Merritt.
She’s powered by two 350HP Cummings engines and has a maximum cruising speed of 25 knots.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN GO ON A CHARTER?
The maximum number of guests is 6 (plus the captain and crew).
WHAT IF WE WOULD LIKE TO GO LONGER?
Of course! If you’re on a charter with us and would like to extend your trip, we’ll be happy to accommodate as long as our booking calendar allows.
ARE WE ALLOWED TO KEEP WHAT WE CATCH?
Yes, you get to keep what you catch, but anything over 50 lbs. usually goes to the boat at the captain’s discretion.
